Our bridge construction division is known throughout the region for its commitment to quality and ingenuity. Our resume includes spans of all types and size, including concrete, steel, and prefabricated structures designed for residential, commercial, and public use. Bridge construction requires many specialized tools and equipment to guarantee efficient, quality work. We understand these needs and have built a modern equipment fleet to support our bridge crews in any situation. High-capacity cranes, beam launchers, concrete placement booms, and specialty forms are some examples of our specialized bridge equipment.
We also understand that successful road projects require a team approach. Charles Blalock and Sons achieves this through an integrated supply chain, utilizing Blalock Ready Mix and Newport Paving and Ready Mix to expand their capabilities for ready mix concrete and asphalt supply. This approach enables us to maximize quality and efficiency for jobs in our immediate services area.
In addition to work for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Charles Blalock and Sons is a licensed and approved contractor for North Carolina DOT, Virginia DOT, and the Federal Highway Administration. We have completed numerous projects in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as several local municipalities and airport authorities.
