At Blalock Companies, our employees have always been and shall continue to be our most valuable asset. We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our employees. In order for this to be accomplished, all employees and subcontractors must follow our safety program. The safety of our employees is of the greatest interest to all levels of management and supervision.
Safety is a top value of our company’s business. An effective safety program must have the endorsement of our corporate management team and must be valued as high as productivity and quality. All three business components must be married together to achieve our highest level of success on each project. Safety should never be sacrificed over production or quality. Our management realizes that performing a job safely is just as important as providing a quality product or meeting a deadline. Our performance history has proven a safe workplace leads to greater productivity and quality craftsmanship.
An effective safety program must also have the involvement and commitment of all our employees and subcontractors. A key component of the Blalock program is Safety Accountability. Supervisors, employees, suppliers, and subcontractors are all accountable for their own personal safety and for assisting providing a safe work environment for everyone. Safety performance will be measured and used as an integral part of employee reviews and subcontract terms. Furthermore, a Job Hazard Analysis will be completed daily by each supervisor or crew to ensure proper planning and training for any safety hazard affecting the jobsite. These are just a few of the many safety protocol integrated into the Blalock Safety Program.
Preventing accidents and striving to create a Zero Accident Culture will always be our top safety priority. We strongly believe that all incidents are preventable, and a Zero Accident Culture can only be achieved if all parties on our projects work together to achieve this goal. Safety must never be a value that’s compromised for production, quality, or cost.
