OUR EMPLOYEES ARE OUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET
THE BLALOCK SAFETY PROGRAM
At Blalock, we are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our employees. All levels of management and supervision understand that employee safety is our primary concern, and that safety must never be a value that’s compromised for production, quality, or cost. Our impressive performance history serves as proof that a safe workplace leads to greater productivity and higher quality craftsmanship.
Safety should never be sacrificed for any reason
An effective safety program must have the endorsement of our corporate management team and must be valued as highly as productivity and quality. All three business components must be married together to achieve the highest level of success on each project. We realize that performing a job safely is just as important as providing a quality product or meeting a deadline.
SAFETY ACCOUNTABILITY AND PROTOCOLS
A key component of the Blalock program is Safety Accountability. Supervisors, employees, suppliers, and subcontractors are all accountable for their own personal safety and for assisting in providing a safe work environment for everyone. Safety performance will be measured and used as an integral part of employee reviews and subcontract terms. Furthermore, a Job Hazard Analysis will be completed daily by each supervisor or crew to ensure proper planning and training for any safety hazard affecting the jobsite.

ZERO ACCIDENT CULTURE
Preventing accidents and striving to create a Zero Accident Culture will always be our top safety priority. We strongly believe that all incidents are preventable, and a Zero Accident Culture can only be achieved if all parties on our projects work together to achieve this goal.
TRAINING IS CRUCIAL
Effective training is an integral part of our ability to achieve a Zero Accident Culture in our workplaces. The Blalock Training Academy was developed to provide training and education to employees in an effort to maintain a skilled workforce committed to safety and believing that all accidents are preventable.
